Electrical connectors can corrode and increase circuit resistance. Contrary to common wisdom, some parts need to be replaced during the working life of a solar system. So SunRun covers the parts and labor for the system at your home for free.

Inverters, for example, are a critical but notoriously fickle component of a residential solar system. They need to be replaced every ten to twelve years and cost thousands of dollars. If you bought your own solar system, you might not even realize the inverter failed until you got a hefty bill from your utility a month after the fact because of the loss of solar power.
