Residents of Phoenix, Arizona might be able to get by without using much power at all for a decent portion of the year.  But in summer, when temperatures stay above 100 degrees day and night, there’s no question that Arizona air conditioning bills can start to get a little expensive.  It’s not uncommon for a thousand square foot appartment to have bills well above $250 every month.

And, Phoenix power bills are about to get higher still.  APS is currently holding hearings on raising its rates again this year.  SunRun customer Danita Hardy moved to Phoenix from Oregon two and a half years ago.  She realized right away that she needed solar panels to control her energy costs, but wasn’t able to afford them.   When SunRun came to Arizona in May, she was ready to sign up for solar financing.

With SunRun, Danita got started with home solar power for $800 and she hasn’t had to worry that running  the air conditioning will hurt her pocketbook or the envirnoment.   As she says, ‘All this sun must be good for something!”
