Attention teachers, parents and kids! Here is a fun, free, clever project for you.
Here at SunRun, we connect families to clean green energy. We wanted to create something cool for kids – a solar craft project. Follow these simple steps to make a fun solar arts and crafts:
- download the file “Papercraft House for kids.jpg”
- print the document on sturdy paper
- cut out the outer black line of the papercraft design
- mountain fold (fold outward) along the areas indicated by this symbol > <
- use a glue stick on all tabs and assemble
At SunRun, we consider education to be an important component of our outreach. For Earth Day this year, our marketing team spoke to schools across the Bay Area about coal fired electricity and the promise of solar. Our website is packed with stats for those trying to learn more about solar. We taught families and kids at Maker Faire 2010 about phantom load. We also spoke recently to college students at SFSU about solar technology.
Watch for more solar crafts for kids coming soon to the blog!
