Thousand-Oaks-Home-Solar-PowerThousand Oaks, CA is a beautiful community located in Ventura County, just west of Los Angeles. With Ventura County’s beautiful coastline, and given Thousand Oaks tree-lined neighborhoods and great local schools, there are many reasons why people choose to settle here to raise their children.

Mohsen and his wife decided to raise their three children in Thousand Oaks for just these reasons. Mohsen has a passion for technology and has wanted home solar energy for a long time. With an eye for detail, Mohsen had carefully followed how his utility rates had been steadily increasing over the years. Like many homeowners in Southern California, he wanted to take advantage of the abundant year-round sunshine but couldn’t make the financial side of buying solar panels work. It just didn’t make economic sense to spend upwards of $40,000 to buy solar panels and wait 15 or 20 years to recoup the investment.

Once Mohsen heard about SunRun home solar finance, he thought that solar power could make sense for his family. Mohsen said: “If you can make a monthly payment for solar and SunRun monitors the system for 18 years, you can’t beat that. I’ve been telling my neighbors about it and I even showed them my bill. I love that SunRun saves me money.”"

Solar stats for Thousand Oaks, CA:

• Thousand Oaks residents pay 51% more for electricity than the national average

• 62% of the electricity delivered to homes in Thousand Oaks comes from burning fossil fuels, which leaves homeowners exposed to costly annual rate increases.

Did you hear about glacier in greenland that is melting at 2x the rate it used to every year? Makes me feel much better to use my own solar panels rather than paying the electric bill.

the cost of Solar Cells for Solar Energy utilization has been decreasing over the past years. pretty soon, solar energy would be a more viable alternative than fossil fuels
