A new national poll by Kelton Research shows that Americans of every political leaning overwhelmingly support the use and development of solar energy. According to the poll, 9 out of 10 Americans think that solar is important. In the political breakdown, at least 80 percent of participants in every party agree that it is important for the US to develop and use solar.
Furthermore, 8 out of 10 Americans support federal incentives directed toward bettering the solar industry.
When asked to select one energy source they would financially support if they were in charge of U.S. energy policy, 39 percent of Americans answered that they would support solar over other options such as natural gas, wind, nuclear and coal.
