Yesterday, the Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future (PennFuture) awarded SunRun the 2010 Green Power Award for helping expand Pennsylvania’s solar market by bringing solar power service plans to Pennsylvania homeowners! In its 11th year, the annual PennFuture awards recognize individuals and organizations for their work in promoting clean energy and building the renewable energy market in Pennsylvania. SunRun East Coast Representative, Ken Rahn, attended the awards ceremony at The Inn at Penn today to accept SunRun’s award.
It’s been a big year for solar in Pennsylvania – thanks to the $650 million clean energy funding bill, almost 10 MW of solar has already been installed in the state, with another 65 MW under development. None of this could have been achieved without the cooperation and hard work of local communities, businesses, educational institutions, and individuals across the state.
We’re thankful for the award and excited to continue our mission of bringing affordable home solar power to whoever wants it. Learn more about Pennsylvania solar by going to our website or giving us a call at 877.SUN.6656.
