The CA Legislature has passed two bills authored by Assemblyman Mark Leno expanding the installation of solar power. AB 2863 will clear the way for PPAs in residential solar power generation while providing key consumer protections.

16 school districts in the Long Island area have installed solar panels or will install them soon. The Smithtown solar panel system, which was recently approved by the school board, is estimated to pay for itself within five years.
