SunRun is the first residential solar company to offer a solar lease to Colorado homeowners, with the launch of the SunRun’s Power Plan this week in Colorado. Homeowners there can now get started with solar panels for as little as $1,000 down. SunRun also provides complete peace of mind in the form of repairs, insurance and performance guarantee.
We’re in Colorado because of tremendous support from Colorado Governor Bill Ritter and the Colorado Legislature, which recently passed legislation making it possible for SunRun to do business in the state. Together, we’re working to make home solar affordable and to build green jobs in Colorado, as part of Governor Ritter’s New Energy Economy.
We are happy to launch with the very best solar installers in Colorado, who will do the design and installation for SunRun homes. Namaste Solar, REC Solar, and Real Goods Solar will all be offering SunRun’s Power Plan.
We look forward to making solar a realistic option for Colorado homeowners who would like clean energy, but who don’t want to have to use up their savings or learn about solar equipment to do so. You can read more in our formal announcement or check out our Solar in Colorado page.

What type of solar panels do you install ? I hope their American made and not Chinese. What kind of warranty can you expect with a chinese company ?
More and more people need to realize how affordable solar energy is becoming to do it yourself with the right guides and materials. I recently wrote a guide (http://www.easydiysolarenergy.net) and sales are tripling monthly. It’s not enough to know about renewable energy, people need to act on it!
I am founder of Colorado Citizens Lobby which is working on legislation to increase renewable energy production in CO. I am also buying a house with good solar exposure and want to get solar panels as soon as we can possibly do so after moving. We don’t have a close date yet but will do some major planning and logistics once the close date is known.
We would like to explore with your company the potential for a leased system once the house is ours to modify. Please contact me via email at the moment as I don’t like to give out my cell phone number and don’t answer the home phone.
