This week SunRun President and Co-founder Lynn Jurich participated in a panel session at Facebook as part of a town hall discussion with President Obama.

President Obama’s meeting topic was “Shared Responsibility and Shared Prosperity,” and as part of his talk he called out the importance of additional subsidies for solar and wind. Lynn’s panel discussed entrepreneurship and fellow panelists included White House Council of Economic Advisors Chairman Austan Goolsbee, Facebook VP of Engineering Mike Schroepfer, and Spoondate CEO and Co-founder Adriana Neagu. Lynn was asked to add perspective on a range of topics, including:
- The most significant resources entrepreneurs can take advantage of in order to succeed
- Advice for aspiring female entrepreneurs
- The rise of business model innovation as a complement to technology when it comes to bringing disruptive ideas to market
The Startup America Partnership organized the panel to focus on the value entrepreneurs and startups provide to the American economy. Startup American launched at the White House on January 31, 2011, bringing together a coalition of mentors, advisors, funders, major corporations and service providers to help entrepreneurs start and scale companies.
