We’re happy to announce our second video in our solar webinar video series: Solar Communities are Sustainable!
What does sustainability mean exactly? According to Wikipedia, sustainability is the capacity to endure, to last.
In this second solar video, SunRun co-founders Ed Fenster & Lynn Jurich discuss the ways in which communities that use solar power are sustainable. They discuss home solar as not only a clean and cost-effective alternative to electricity from the utility, but one that stimulates local job creation.
With home solar power systems, there’s no need to spend extra money or resources building new transmission lines or power plants. In fact, grid-connected solar systems help reinforce the grid by reducing the strain on the utility grid at times of peak demand. Getting your electricity from a home solar system is also smart and easy – home solar power is produced where and when you need it most – at home, during the day.
Watch the video below to hear Ed & Lynn’s thoughts on sustainable solar communities, as well as their answers to questions submitted by viewers. Do you have your own question for Ed & Lynn? Email questions@sunrunhome.com and stay tuned for the next webinar!
