Home solar power had long been an aspiration for Brian and his wife Allison, who've lived in Framingham for over 25 years. Brian, a semi-retired software engineer, started thinking about home solar back in the 80's after a trip to California. He thought that solar energy was really interesting from a science perspective. Fast forward to 2009. Brian thought that with a new administration in the White House, it might be time to revisit getting solar panels at home. Again, when he considering buying his own solar panels outright, the financials didn't quite pencil out.
