CA Utility Electric Rates: If you're paying more than $100/month for electricity, installing a residential PV system is a good way to take control of your electric costs.
Many California utility companies charge for electricity by tiers. This means that the more power you use, the higher your electricity rate will be. For example, you can pay around $0.12 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for your first chunk of power. For an additional amount of power, you'll pay $0.13 per kWh, and $0.26 for the next chunk of power. With Sunrun, you can offset part of the traditional electricity you use from your utility company with clean and affordable solar electricity from Sunrun. This way, you avoid the utility company's highest rates for electricity.
Sunrun solar leasing and power purchase agreements are available in most of California but we've highlighted a few cities that are leading the way in CA solar energy.
