Solar video transcript

Hi, my name is Jameson and I'm an Account Manager with Sunrun. I'm here today to answer the question: Is my home right for solar power?

There's going to be a couple of different variables that are going to make sure that your home is a good fit for solar. One of them is that you want to make sure your house has a good south-facing roof. The reason why you want a good south-facing roof is because as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, your roof is going to have full exposure to the sun, so it's going to produce as much electricity as possible from those panels.

The second component is shade. If you have a large tree or some other large obstruction, it's going to block out the sun so your system is not going to be producing as much electricity. So let's go ahead and get rid of some of that shade. We also want to make sure that we can actually put panels up on your roof. So, we're going to take a look at the material of the roof as well as the structural integrity of the roof.

And finally, we want this to make financial sense for you. So in order to find out if your home is good for solar, feel free to give us a call!
