When you choose SunRun Total Solar, you agree to purchase solar electricity at a set rate for 20 years. This means 20 years from now, you or whomever owns your home will still be paying today's electricity prices. While we can't tell you what prices will be like in 20 years, it's a safe bet that they'll be higher than they are today.
SunRun owns the panels. That means:
Pricing: Pricing for your home is specific to your home. It depends on several factors, including how much electricity you use, the rates you pay for your electricity, and how good your roof is for solar. However, there are two main ways to pay:
Low Upfront: We'll get you as close to no money down as possible to switch to solar. It's likely that you'll fix your rate at something that is equal to or slightly less than what you pay today. Over time, you'll still save money but your savings will be modest initially.
Prepaid: If you've got money saved, you can choose to pay a little more upfront and lock in a lower electricity rate. You will see savings immediately, and more savings over time.
